เนื้อผ้า คือ สิ่งที่ได้จากการนำเส้นใยที่มีอยู่ในธรรมชาติหรือที่สังเคราะห์ขึ้นมา สานหรือทอจนเป็นเนื้อเดียวกัน เนื้อผ้ามีหลายประเภท ขึ้นอยู่กับชนิดของเส้นใย วิธีการทอ และการประมวลผล เนื้อผ้ามีประโยชน์ในการทำเสื้อผ้า เครื่องนุ่งห่ม เครื่องใช้ประเภทผ้าต่างๆ และการตกแต่งสถานที่

บางประเภทของเนื้อผ้าที่นิยมใช้ในการทำเสื้อผ้าได้แก่

• เนื้อผ้าฝ้าย ทำมาจากปุยฝ้าย ซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่ห่อหุ้มเมล็ดฝ้าย เนื้อผ้าฝ้ายมีความบางเบา ระบายความร้อนได้ดี แต่หลังซักอาจหดได้ ไม่ยืดหยุ่น และยับง่าย

• เนื้อผ้าไนลอน ทำจากการสังเคราะห์ขึ้นจากสารเคมี เนื้อผ้าไนลอนมีความแข็งแรงทนทาน ยืดหยุ่นง่าย แต่ถูกไฟจะละลาย
• เนื้อผ้าพอลิเอสเตอร์ ทำจากการสังเคราะห์ขึ้นจากสารเคมี เช่นเดียวกับไนลอน เนื้อผ้าพอลิเอสเตอร์มีความบางเบา ไม่ยับ ไม่หด แห้งไว ซักง่าย
• เนื้อผ้า T/C (Terylene/Cotton) เป็นผ้าผสมระหว่างพอลิเอสเตอร์และฝ้าย เป็นผ้าที่ใช้อย่างแพร่หลาย เพราะมีคุณสมบัติของพอลิเอสเตอร์และฝ้ายผสมกัน
